Abstract
This research aims to analyze the concept of children's character formation from Abu Qosim As-Suhaili's perspective in the book Ar-Raudul Unuf and analyze the implementation of Al-Ummū Madrasatu al-Ūlā in children's character education from the perspective of Abū Qāsim As-Sūhaili (W.581H) in the book Ar- Raudul Unuf in the era of modern education. The research approach in this study uses qualitative research methods, with the aim of obtaining more in-depth valid data. The types of data used in this research are primary data and secondary data as well as the type of library research, then qualitative interpretation (analysis) is carried out. The results of this research show that 1). the concept of character formation in children from Abu Qosim As-Suhaili's perspective in the book Ar-Raudul Unuf is by choosing a husband or prospective father who is a believer, breastfeeding from an intelligent mother and increasing touch with the child from the moment he is born, and 2). The implementation of Al-Ummū Madrasatu al-Ūlā in children's character education from the perspective of Abū Qāsim As-Sūhaili (W.581H) in the book Ar-Raudul Unuf in the modern era is by: a). choosing a husband or prospective father who is a believer; b).breastfeeding the child of an intelligent and clever mother; c). increase contact with children from the moment they are born.
